Nice and Easy
Breed: Appendix Quarter Horse
Registry: Papers lost by old owner
Age: 13
Birthdate: March 15, 1998
Sex: Gelding
Color: Black/Bay with a stripe, and three socks.
Information: We got Hennesy from a rescue I volunteer at in about February and had plans of showing him and keeping him to be a lesson horse later. Well later on I decided that he would do best with a little girl or boy. I got him so nothing spooked him and so he had a headset. He was originally a show horse and the people used harsh bits and spurs on him, so the people decided to give him to the shelter because they no longer wanted horses and then later I adopted him. Now he lives with a little girl and is teaching her how to ride. They are a great family.

SMA Tequila
Breed: Arabian
Registry: AHA
Age: 22
Birthdate:
Sex: Mare
Color: Bay with star and one sock.
Information: Tequila has been shown in upper level dressage and western pleasure. We rescued her from a bad situation about 10 years ago, were the owners left her sit in a pasture with only grass and nothing else. Her halter was to small for her, there was a stallion on the other side of the fence that broke out multiple times, and nobody had ridden her for years due to the kids going on to college and doing better things. The first day we got her a horse pushed her into a fence and messed up her shoulder, so we had months of rehabilitation to do before we could restart her undersaddle. When we got her we had lots of work to do, she wasn't good for the farrier and was scared of people. She didn't like getting rode so she'd crow hop and take off. We got her over that and now she has let beginners ride her and people have shown her. She is now retired and gets to go out for trail rides, which she loves doing. We love her to pieces but we wanted to make sure she could get pampered like she diserved. She now lives with a vet tech and gets chiropractor work and everything, she loves it!:)

One Dynamic Dude
Breed: Quarter Horse
Registry: AQHA
Age: 8
Birthdate: May 23rd, 2002
Sex: Gelding
Color: Sorrel with a blaze and two socks
Information: Gunner shows in AQHA, Local, Open, and 4h. He went to state this year for Hunter Undersaddle and also showed in Hunt Equitation. We had very good rides and did very good and well behaved for his first time at State. I have owned him for about 1 year and 3 months. I bought him on September 19th, 2009. When I had first got him we didn't get along so he didn't really want to work. We couldn't get him to canter without him bucking. We had a chiro out and the vet and she couldn't find anything. We then got a new saddle and it fit him so much better and the bucking went away. Then in winter he started the bucking again, because he wasn't used to working in winter. We got him over that and now he goes along fine at walk, trot, canter. We are training in Hunter Undersaddle, Western Pleasure, Showmanship, Halter, Equitation, and Horsemanship. We show in all of them. Gunner can also do a little dressage, trail riding, and jumping(crossrails). He isn't spooky and is very good for the farrier and vet. He showed at Region 3 in July 2011 and loved being in the ring with a bunch of horses. He behaved well. He is now living with a family and being used for trail riding and some open shows for their son.

Splash Man
Breed: Appendix Quarter Horse
Registry: Papers lost by old owner
Age: 16 when sold.
Birthdate: June 5, 1993
Sex: Gelding
Color: Chestnut with a strip, and two socks.
Information: I got Splash to be my first project horse. I bought him knowing he liked to crow hop while going into the canter. He was still a little underweight and his hooves were so bad that his old owners farrier would glue the shoes to his hooves. Glueing shoes to the hooves isn't good for their feet, so we took the glue off and nailed the shoes and but Splash on a supplement for his feet and also put a liquid on his feet to help the hoove wall grow. We ended up being able to ride him at shows and other places without shoes because his hoove walls got stronger and so much better. The only time shoes were needed was whenever trail riding on rocks. His crowhoping went away and he was very safe that even little kids could ride him without a problem. He also had a problem with rushing the jumps and we fixed that by putting him on a break from jumping and then putting him in a double twist bit and then switched him back to a D-ring snaffle and then he wouldn't rush the jumps and moved as you wished. I got him over everything, and then I sold him to a very good family in Massachusetts and he is now jumping and doing flat work.

Ginger's Rhapsody
Breed: 3/4 Paint 1/4 Arabian
Registry: PtHA
Age: 5 years old when sold
Birthdate: May 21st, 2003
Sex: Mare
Color: Black/Bay with three socks and a stripe.
Information: I got Ginger when she was three years old and had hopes of her becoming my western pleasure and horsemanship horse. I started working with her in english and then switched over to western. We had a walk and a jog down, but whenever it came to the lope she just didn't enjoy going slow so she would pin her ears. We had tried another trainer to see if that would help and it made her worse and she would take off and run across the field. I then decided to try some barrels and she liked it so much better so I then sold her to a speed home, where she loves her job and does great at it. Firsts and seconds.
